Vor diesem Hintergrund hat sich TRAM-WBL, eine unter Erasmus+ geförderte strategische Partnerschaft, dem Ziel verschrieben, einen Ansatz zu entwickeln, wie Schulen und Träger von Berufsbildung gemeinsam mit Unternehmen Synergieeffekte bündeln und innovativen Methoden des transnationalen work based learning (WBL) den Weg ebnen können.
Die Projektpartner entwickeln Empfehlungen und Handreichungen, die transnationale Gültigkeit besitzen und die Unternehmen dafür gewinnen sollen, sich langfristig und institutionell am internationalen Austausch des work based learning zu engagieren.
Das Projekt ist im September 2015 gestartet und wird von 11 Partnern aus 7 verschiedenen europäischen Staaten realisiert. Zielgruppe des Projekts sind Berufsbildungseinrichtungen, regionale Entscheidungsträger, Unternehmen, Industrieverbände sowie Handelskammern.

The Europe 2020 strategy puts the quality and relevance of education and training systems at the heart of EU efforts to improve competitiveness and achieve smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. The development of partnerships between educational institutions and employers is seen as a crucial factor in identifying learning requirements, improving the relevance of education and facilitating access to education and learning. The design of new curricula and programmes, innovative ways of delivering education and knowledge and stronger business partnerships are an essential element of this policy.
Against this background, TRAM-WBL, an Erasmus+ funded strategic partnership sets out its approach on to how schools/VET providers and employers can best join forces to promote quality and innovation in transnational work-based learning programmes in the context of rapid global economic and technological change, the constantly evolving demand for new skills and the expectations for learners participating in VET programmes.
